Bobbie's life story is a harrowing tale of isolation, adversity & achievement. Sadly there are countless others just like Bobbie in our communites today.
Different from a crisis hotline or therapy platform, Call the Moms and Dads is a listening service for those who need connection. It helps individuals navigate the stresses of everyday life by offering a compassionate ear when needed. Professional help isn’t always available 24/7, and some people face obstacles such as fear of stigma, job constraints, or simply a lack of resources.
Some people can’t afford to risk their jobs by seeking therapy, or they’re afraid of how they’ll be perceived,” Dameron explains. “Our service fills that gap by offering someone to talk to, so they don’t have to face their struggles alone. We can also help guide them to additional resources, including professional help.
Being able to connect with someone regularly to discuss challenges can relieve some of the stress people face. By offering 24/7 availability, Call the Moms and Dads helps people handle life’s obstacles without feeling overwhelmed.
Moms & Dads all the time... Bobbie has an incredible thing going.
As the service grows, so does the need for more volunteers & partners. Dameron emphasizes the critical role the community plays in bridging the gap
